Lenovo recently unveiled a new lineup of laptops accompanied by conceptual products that are not yet slated for release but offer intriguing ideas.
First up is the ThinkBook, an AI PC code-named “Flip”, a 13-inch laptop that can expand its screen real estate to 18.1 inches in portrait mode. This device offers 5 modes: Clamshell for regular use, Portrait mode for document review, Share mode for dual-screen usage, Tablet mode for pen input, and Read mode for distraction-free reading.
Next is the Yoga Solar PC, a groundbreaking concept with a solar panel on the front cover boasting a 24% energy conversion rate. Testing reveals that just 20 minutes of sunlight can provide enough energy to watch a 1-hour video. Additionally, weighing a mere 1.22 kilograms and measuring only 15 millimeters thin, this device is designed for ultimate portability.
Lenovo also introduces the Magic Bay connectivity kit for the ThinkBook 16p Gen 6, allowing for easy expansion of connectivity options. While these products are still in the prototype testing phase, they show great promise.
The Magic Bay Dual Display adds two 13.3-inch screens to the laptop, providing increased display space for multitasking. The Magic Bay 2nd Display offers the same display area but in a reduced 8-inch size. With the names Tiko and Tiko Pro, these devices attach to the top of the screen and display responsive emoji-like indicators for user interaction with AI.
And that’s not all! Lenovo presents the ThinkBook 3D Laptop, capable of switching between 2D and 3D modes for enhanced dimensional imagery with a high-resolution display of 3.2K (3200×2000, 100% DCI-P3).
Adding to the lineup is the Lenovo AI Ring, a device for controlling computers through gestures such as rotating, zooming, or interacting with objects using hand controls only.
TLDR: Lenovo showcases innovative laptop concepts, connectivity kits, and AI-controlled gadgets for enhanced user experiences.
