Innovator Palmer Luckey unveils cutting-edge military-grade head-mounted display for Oculus.

Palmer Luckey, the founder of Oculus who departed in 2017, went on to establish the military technology company Anduril Industries. Most recently, he announced his return to develop head-worn glasses once again, but this time with a primary focus on military applications.

Palmer took the stage at the Augmented World Expo (AWE) carrying the first Oculus Dev Kit in his bag. He mentioned that the new glasses are designed primarily for military use but can also be utilized for other purposes. However, he did not disclose further details about the new glasses, stating his intention to publicly announce their development in order to facilitate collaboration with suppliers or partners without the burden of excessive secrecy becoming a working condition.
