Instagram has introduced a new feature called Blend, allowing users to share “Reels feeds” with friends via DM. This feature has been available for some Instagram users for a while, but is now open for general use. Blend can be shared either through DMs between individuals or in group chats. Each user’s Reels feed consists of video clips selected from an algorithm curating content based on individual interests. As to why we should share this feed with friends, Adam Mosseri, head of the Instagram team, says that sharing what we are interested in helps to create new conversations between us.
