Integration of Honor’s DeepSeek into personal assistant on smartphones remains exclusive to China.

Honor has announced a collaboration with DeepSeek, integrating the DeepSeek-R1 model with the virtual assistant Yoyo for customers in China. Users of Honor in China already have access to Yoyo services, which were introduced back in 2018. The addition of DeepSeek-R1 will enhance the natural flow of conversations and increase overall efficiency.

Smartphones from Honor running on MagicOS 8.0 and above will be able to upgrade to the enhanced DeepSeek-powered Yoyo. There is no information available yet on whether users outside of China will have access to this feature.
