Intel has announced its plan to produce 14A chips around the year 2026, following the Intel 18A process in 2025.
During Pat Gelsinger’s time at Intel, a 4-year plan to upgrade chip manufacturing processes was unveiled in 2021, starting from Intel 7 (2022), Intel 4 (2023), Intel 3 (2023), Intel 20A (2024), culminating in Intel 18A (2025).
This latest announcement outlines Intel’s next phase, introducing Intel 14A in 2026 using ASML’s High-NA EUV equipment.
Additionally, Intel has revealed enhanced versions of previous manufacturing processes like Intel 16-E, Intel 3-T/3-E/3-PT, along with sub-versions of future processes such as Intel 18A-P and Intel 14A-E, although specific details are scarce.
