Intel is set to release the second-generation discrete GPU, Intel Arc “Battlemage,” by the end of 2024. The company has yet to disclose the official launch date. However, a curious leak of the ASRock Arc B580 graphics card prematurely uploaded on Amazon’s website has given us a sneak peek at some of Battlemage’s specifications before its scheduled unveiling.
The Battlemage GPU is based on the Xe2-HPG architecture, similar to the Core Ultra 200V Lunar Lake CPU but with a high-performance version (HPG) that offers enhanced power capabilities. The leaked B580 model (which likely falls within the mid-range segment, given its name starting with a 5, with the previous high-end variant starting with a 7) features 12GB of GDDR6 memory clocked at 2800MHz with a memory bandwidth of 19 Gbps. The exact number of graphic cores has not been revealed yet. The card requires 650W of power and supports a maximum resolution of 8K (7680×4320). The leaked images show three fans and two 8-pin power connectors.
