Internal System Breached: TeamViewer Hacked by Midnight Blizzard Group, Linked to Microsoft Breach

TeamViewer has revealed that their internal IT system was compromised by the cybercrime gang APT29/Midnight Blizzard, the same group that breached Microsoft’s systems earlier this year. Details of this breach are scant at the moment, with TeamViewer only stating that they discovered the intrusion on June 26th and it was confined to their Corporate IT environment, not impacting their products or customer data which are kept separate by design.
