Introducing Rovo by Atlassian: An AI Assistant Streamlining Search and Data Retrieval within Organizations, Answering Queries via Chatbots.

Atlassian, the company behind tools like Jira, Confluence, Trello, and Bitbucket, has introduced a new app called Rovo. This AI-powered service is designed to summarize information from various sources within an organization and answer our queries. It bears resemblance to Google Workspace’s Gemini or Microsoft 365’s Copilot. Rovo is a software suite consisting of three components:

Rovo Search: This feature allows users to search for data within the organization from a variety of sources, including Atlassian apps and external apps like Slack, Google Drive, SharePoint, GitHub, and Figma.

Rovo Chat: A chatbot that answers questions related to various aspects within the organization, such as project status, new colleagues, all while the organization maintains control over the data sources.

Rovo Agents: These specialized assistants help with specific tasks, such as editing content in Confluence, importing data into Jira, reviewing and managing bugs in Jira, and more.

Atlassian’s Rovo service is currently in closed beta testing. Once stable, it will become an additional offering within the Atlassian Cloud, with pricing to be announced in the future.
