Introducing the Enigmatic Whispers: Call of Duty’s Groundbreaking Installment Unveils an Epic Open World Experience

According to previous rumors, the next installment of Call of Duty will be a new Black Ops game that will delve into the Gulf War of 1991. Today, there is additional information that the game’s campaign mode will be an Open World experience.

The introduction of an Open World campaign mode is not entirely new to the Black Ops series, as it was previously introduced in a compact form known as Open Combat in the campaign mode of Modern Warfare 3, released just last year. However, the reception for this feature was less than satisfactory.

In contrast, the Open World feature in the upcoming Black Ops game will differ from Modern Warfare 3, as it will bear a closer resemblance to the Far Cry series. Players will have the ability to utilize vehicles for traversing different locations, and there will be a Fast Travel system available for convenience. Additionally, there will be a combination of linear and open-ended missions within the game.

The campaign mode of this installment will be developed by Raven Software, while the Multiplayer and Zombie modes will be developed by Treyarch. The game is expected to be released in October 2024, following the usual release pattern of previous Call of Duty games.

TLDR: The next Call of Duty game in the Black Ops series will explore the Gulf War of 1991 and feature an Open World campaign mode, allowing players to travel using vehicles and experience a mixture of linear and open-ended missions. The game is set to be released in October 2024. (Source: Insider Gaming)
