Introducing the Raspberry Pi’s AI-powered RunModel Camera Module直

Introducing the Raspberry Pi AI Camera, a cutting-edge camera module capable of running artificial intelligence models directly. This innovative camera allows for on-device image processing by loading a CPU or adding an accelerator card for AI acceleration.

Developed in collaboration with Sony, this module simplifies the integration of AI models for image categorization, object detection, and pose estimation. Featuring support for both TensorFlow and PyTorch models, the module is powered by the RP2040 chip to efficiently execute model commands.

Despite its high resolution, the AI models typically operate at lower resolutions, with a maximum of 640×640. The camera is now available for purchase at $70. Raspberry Pi has previously released AI accelerator kits, but this AI camera is compatible with all Raspberry Pi models, including the Raspberry Pi Zero, despite having lower overall processing power.

TLDR: Raspberry Pi introduces the AI Camera module, enabling on-device AI model execution for image processing applications.
