Qualcomm has unveiled the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip for mid-range smartphones set to debut in 2025.
The CPU Kryo formula of 1 Prime + 3 Performance + 4 Efficiency shows an overall performance improvement by 11%. Meanwhile, the Adreno GPU boasts a 29% increase in performance and maximum energy savings of 12%.
The chip’s image processing unit, Spectra ISP, supports resolutions of up to 200 MP. It features a 5G modem with download speeds of up to 2.9 Gbps, Bluetooth 5.4, and Wi-Fi 6E. Additionally, the audio system supports aptX lossless and Bluetooth LE Audio, while the fast charging system includes Quick Charge 4+.
Mobile brands like Oppo, Realme, and Honor have already announced plans to incorporate the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 in their upcoming devices, set to be released in the coming months.
