Technical details of iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max on Apple’s Thai website indicate that all four new models will continue to feature nano-SIM trays (even in the promotional images) similar to iPhones sold globally except in the United States.
Apple has been pushing eSIM technology since the iPhone 14, specifically in the US where they abandoned SIM trays in favor of supporting up to 2 eSIM profiles. iPhones sold outside the US still have SIM trays and also support dual eSIM functionality.
Previously, the new iPad Air and iPad Pro models discontinued SIM trays for the Wi-Fi + Cellular versions, including those sold in Thailand. This has raised questions about whether the iPhone 16 models sold in Thailand will include SIM trays or not.

TLDR: The latest iPhone 16 lineup on Apple’s Thai website will retain nano-SIM trays, unlike the US models which have shifted to eSIM technology.
