The issue of Brazil’s ban on X and the freezing of Elon Musk’s business accounts in the country has progressed further. The panel of judges from Brazil’s Central Government Court unanimously supported the order issued by Judge Alexandre de Moraes to ban the use of X.
The court order has been sent to internet service providers in the country, as well as to app store providers to block access to X within 5 days. The deadline for compliance with this order is September 4th.
However, Starlink, the satellite internet service provider owned by Elon Musk, has informed Brazilian regulatory authorities that they will not comply with the order to block X until the court revokes the freeze on their financial accounts. The court is preparing to fine X approximately 3 million dollars, which is the reason for the freezing of the accounts in the first place.
