KBank, the popular Thai bank, has recently made a significant move into the digital asset business by establishing its subsidiary, Unita Capital. With a registered capital of 3.705 billion baht, KBank holds 100% of the company’s shares, indicating a strong commitment to investing in the digital asset sector.
Expanding further, Unita Capital has also set up three additional subsidiaries to venture into various aspects of the digital asset industry. These include Orbix Custodian, which is currently in the process of obtaining a license to provide digital asset custody services; Orbix Invest, focusing on asset management for digital assets, also in the process of obtaining a license; and Orbix Technology and Innovation, with a registered capital of 260 million baht, dedicated to developing blockchain infrastructure.
In a strategic move, Unita Capital has acquired a whopping 97% stake in Satang Pro, the owner of a prominent digital asset trading platform. Plans are underway to rebrand Satang Pro as “Orbix Trade,” aligning it with the other subsidiaries under the Unita Capital umbrella.
