Limitless Gaming Experience: GeForce NOW Sets Monthly Playtime Cap at 100 Hours starting Next Year.

NVIDIA has announced changes to the GeForce NOW service, with several significant updates including rebranding the Mid-Tier Priority to Performance, offering 1440p resolution instead of the current 1080p, supporting ultra-wide display, and now allowing saved graphic settings throughout sessions, all previously limited to the Ultimate Tier.

The highlight of this announcement is that GeForce NOW will now limit monthly playtime to 100 hours for both Performance and Ultimate users, in an effort to maintain quality and speed of service, as well as reduce wait times. NVIDIA states that based on current user data, 94% will not be affected by this new limit as they do not reach 100 hours of usage per month.

For users who do not reach the full 100-hour limit, the remaining hours will roll over to the following month, with a maximum of 15 hours. Users who hit the 100-hour limit can purchase additional hours for $2.99 for 15 hours of Performance Tier and $5.99 for Ultimate Tier.

All of these changes will take effect starting in 2025. Additionally, NVIDIA has announced new games coming to the platform this week, including Planet Coaster 2, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate, Empire of the Ants, Unrailed 2: Back on Track, TCG Card Shop Simulator (Steam), StarCraft II (Xbox), and StarCraft Remastered (Xbox).

TLDR: NVIDIA announces updates to GeForce NOW service including monthly playtime limit, resolution enhancements, saved graphic settings, and new game additions.
