Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, has once again discussed the headset vision of Apple. In a previous clip, he shared his experience using Meta Quest, stating that it surpasses almost everything with a significantly lower price.
This time, he responded to users on Threads who disagreed with Meta’s claim that Quest is already on par with Vision Pro. The reality is that Apple sells products at a spec Meta aims to achieve in 3-5 years, while Quest sells at a price point Apple aims for in 3-5 years.
Zuckerberg emphasized that he did not say the two are the same, but he did mention that Quest is superior. If we make this headset as heavy as Vision Pro, add motion blur, and have inaccurate input in 3-5 years, it means we are lowering the quality. What Vision Pro excels in is image resolution, but at a much higher cost. Other aspects are not as good, which is not what we want to do.
