Meta has announced an update to the Meta AI chatbot assistant on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger that was unveiled at Connect event last year, expanding its support to additional countries beyond the United States as previously reported. They have also enhanced its capabilities with the latest Meta Llama 3 model recently introduced.
Countries using Meta AI in English include Australia, Canada, Ghana, Jamaica, Malawi, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, with further expansion planned in the near future.
In this update, Meta has also added another avenue for using chatbots directly through the meta.ai website, supporting usage on computers for tasks like email customization and solving mathematical problems.
Furthermore, Meta has upgraded the AI’s ability to generate Imagine images, with WhatsApp now capable of creating real-time images that change based on the prompt being typed, and even producing moving images as GIFs.
TLDR: Meta announces expansion of Meta AI chatbot to more countries, introduces Meta Llama 3 model, enhances Imagine image capabilities on WhatsApp, and enables chatbot usage through meta.ai website on computers.
