Meta’s Horizon Worlds Unveils a Seamless Web and Mobile Experience

Horizon Worlds, the metaverse platform from Meta, has announced that it will now support usage beyond just VR headsets. Users will be able to access Horizon Worlds through web browsers and mobile devices. However, it is important to note that this service is still in the testing phase and interested individuals must apply for access.

The addition of platform compatibility for Horizon Worlds is expected to significantly increase the user base. Previously, users were limited to using Quest headsets. Meta has never publicly disclosed the exact numbers of Horizon Worlds users, but those who are able to access the virtual world can engage in conversations, play games with other users, and even create and sell virtual items. Meta will receive a 47.5% cut from any item sales.

TLDR: Meta’s Horizon Worlds platform will now support web and mobile usage in addition to VR headsets. Access is currently in the testing phase and interested individuals must apply. This expansion is expected to attract more users to the platform, where they can socialize, play games, and engage in virtual commerce. Meta will take a 47.5% cut from any item sales.
