Microsoft confirms VPN connectivity bug in April update of Windows 11 and 10 undergoing fixes.

Microsoft has confirmed an issue after reports from users who updated Windows in April with Build 22621.3447 (KB5036893) for Windows 11 and Build 19045.4291 (KB5036892) for Windows 10 that they cannot connect to VPN. They are currently investigating and working on fixing this bug and will provide an update soon.

This VPN bug is not only affecting Windows 11 and Windows 10 but also various Windows server versions including Windows Server 2022, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows Server 2008.

Microsoft’s current recommendation is to uninstall this update if you encounter VPN connection issues.
