Microsoft Refunding Buyers of Redfall Premium Edition After DLC Failure Due to Studio Closure.

The highly anticipated game Redfall under the Bethesda umbrella, sold the premium version for $100 and guaranteed additional DLC in the future. However, the promised DLC never materialized, and to make matters worse, Microsoft ordered the closure of the Arkane Austin studio.

According to Windows Central, customers who purchased the Redfall premium version Bite Back Edition or the Bite Back Upgrade package for $26.99 are now receiving refunds from Microsoft. This refund applies to customers on Xbox Store and Steam, with Microsoft refunding the full amount. This marks the unfortunate end to the saga, leaving both buyers (feeling cheated) and developers (studio abruptly closed) disheartened.

TLDR: Redfall game fails to deliver promised DLC, Microsoft shuts down Arkane Austin studio, customers receiving full refunds.
