Microsoft’s Advisory: Retraction of Patch Tuesday Installation for December after Uncovering Wi-Fi Issue on Windows 11

In the most recent Patch Tuesday of December, Microsoft encountered issues with the KB5032288 and KB5033375 patches for Windows 11. These issues have caused problems for numerous users when trying to connect to public Wi-Fi networks or within organizations and educational institutions. It’s worth noting that this problem doesn’t seem to occur when connecting to private Wi-Fi networks at home.

To address these concerns, Microsoft has recently provided guidance for users to uninstall the patches through a Known Issue Rollback (KIR). This will provide a preliminary solution while they work on releasing a subsequent update to fully resolve the problem.

TLDR: Windows 11’s latest Patch Tuesday in December experienced connectivity problems with public Wi-Fi networks, prompting Microsoft to recommend a Known Issue Rollback (KIR) to uninstall the problematic KB5032288 and KB5033375 patches. A subsequent update will be released in the near future to address these issues comprehensively. Source: Computer World.
