Moving Story highlights from the profile page to a consolidated Tab at the bottom for testing on Instagram.

Anyone managing their Instagram profile might need to prepare for some adjustments. Some users have been notified that the Highlights section on their profile or Story highlights will be removed. Instead, they will be moved to a tab within the circular heart icon, consolidating them into a grid layout on the profile.

Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, has confirmed this change but mentioned that it is only being tested with select users and has not yet been rolled out to everyone. He stated that the aim is to increase the visibility of content on the profile by creating a separate tab instead of having it at the top where the main content is pushed down.

Instagram has not confirmed whether this change in displaying highlights will be permanent or when it may affect all users.

TLDR: Instagram is testing a new layout for highlights, with some users seeing them moved to a separate tab for increased visibility on profiles.
