Musical Innovation: TikTok App Ceases Streaming Services in November

ByteDance has announced that the TikTok Music streaming service will cease operations on November 28, 2024. Subscribers will be automatically cancelled, and accounts will be deleted after that date. Playlists can be transferred by October 28.

The TikTok management explained the reason for shutting down this music-focused app is to focus on enhancing the music listening experience on the main TikTok app, which plays a vital role in the music industry.

TikTok Music was launched in 2023 in limited countries as an evolution of the previous music service called Resso. Currently, TikTok Music is available in Indonesia, Brazil, Australia, Singapore, and Mexico only.
