Information from The Information reveals that Apple has been in talks with China Mobile, a major network provider in China, regarding the provision of streaming services for Apple TV+ in the country. If this deal materializes, Apple TV+ could become the sole streaming service from America to be available in China.
In this service model, Apple aims for China Mobile to be the distributor of Apple TV+ packages to customers. Content on the platform will be as permissible for distribution in China, and viewing can only be done through China Mobile’s television set-top boxes, not via Apple devices.
Reports indicate that Apple has been negotiating with China Mobile since the end of last year, but a conclusion on profit-sharing has yet to be reached. Nevertheless, negotiations are still ongoing.

TLDR: Apple is in discussions with China Mobile to offer Apple TV+ in China exclusively through China Mobile’s platform.
