Alexandru Costin, Vice President of Product at Adobe Firefly, unveiled at the MAX seminar in London that the company will launch the Firefly app on iOS and Android “soon”, which is expected to be an app for creating images using AI.
Costin mentioned that often creators come up with ideas on the go, and having a mobile app to support creativity at that moment is something that can greatly enhance and support those ideas. For example, creating a rough image from a prompt and refining it to completion while on the go.
Adobe has also updated its Firefly Image and Video models to include the new Firefly Image Model 4 for general image creation, Firefly Image Model 4 Ultra for high-detail images, and Firefly Video Model for creating short videos from text and images input.
Furthermore, Adobe has added options to call AI models from partners for those who want alternatives to Firefly, including Image Generation from OpenAI, Imagen 3 and Veo 2 from Google, and Flux 1.1 Pro, with plans to add more models from other companies in the future.
