Newly Appointed CEOs of Microsoft and Amazon Announced by Cruise

The automotive company Cruise, a subsidiary of GM, has appointed Marc Whitten as the new CEO effective July 16th. This comes after Kyle Vogt, the former CEO and co-founder, stepped down at the end of last year. Whitten has a background in technology management, previously serving as a founding engineer for Xbox and Xbox Live, general manager of entertainment devices at Amazon, head of product at Sonos, and most recently as head of product and technology at Unity.

Mo Elshenawy, Cruise’s CTO who temporarily served as CEO during the transition, will remain in his position as company president and CTO.
