Nintendo introduces the all-new Nintendo Switch 2 console. This upgraded version boasts a larger 7.9-inch screen with 1080p resolution, 120 fps, and Vivid LCD display that supports HDR images.
The Joy-Con controllers have been revamped with magnetic attachment, larger SL and SR buttons, and a mouse mode for precise control in games. Additionally, the new C-button allows easy access to GameChat mode, while improved audio quality supports 3D sound and includes a built-in microphone for GameChat mode.
With enhanced flexibility, the adjustable stand allows for better viewing angles. The console now features 256GB of internal memory for faster game loading, along with two USB-C ports for added convenience. The dock supports 4K resolution output and includes a cooling fan for optimal performance.
The Switch 2 is backwards compatible, allowing the play of all games from the original Switch. Game cartridges are the same size, but Switch 2 games have red borders. Furthermore, data can be seamlessly transferred from the old Switch to the Switch 2.
Available for purchase starting June 5, 2025, the Nintendo Switch 2 comes in two options: standalone console for $449.99 (15,000 baht) and console bundled with Mario Kart World for $499.99 (17,000 baht). In Japan, the standalone console is priced at 49,980 yen (11,500 baht) with Japanese language support, while the multilingual version is priced at 69,980 yen (16,000 baht).
