NVIDIA forms strategic partnership with industry titans Reliance and Tata in an ambitious AI infrastructure pursuit across India.

During his visit to India, NVIDIA’s CEO, Jensen Huang, held a meeting with the country’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, where he announced collaborations with two Indian conglomerates, Reliance Industries and Tata Group.

The broad scope of this partnership entails both companies ordering NVIDIA GH200 Grace Hopper Superchips to develop AI-powered supercomputers in India.

Reliance Industries, the parent company of Reliance Jio Infocomm, India’s leading telecommunications provider, aims to enhance its customer services for Jio’s 450 million subscribers. These servers will cater to researchers, developers, and startups in India.

On the other hand, Tata Communications, a Tata subsidiary, plans to create an AI cloud that aligns with its expertise and target the enterprise market. Additionally, they have an initiative to train over 600,000 employees within their conglomerate in AI skills.
