NVIDIA Unveils Revolutionary RTX Video HDR Feature for Seamless SDR to HDR Video Conversion, A Visionary Automation

NVIDIA has just unveiled a cutting-edge feature called RTX Video HDR, exclusive to their RTX graphics card series. Leveraging the power of their Tensor Core technology, this feature automatically upgrades videos from standard dynamic range (SDR) to high dynamic range (HDR).

What’s even more impressive is that this feature can be combined with NVIDIA’s Video Super Resolution, which utilizes the GPU to upscale videos for enhanced clarity. This means that we can seamlessly transform low-resolution videos into high-resolution ones with HDR all at once.

To take advantage of this feature, you’ll need an RTX graphics card and an HDR10-compatible display. After updating your drivers in January 2024 and enabling Windows HDR, simply navigate to the NVIDIA Control Panel and tweak the settings for RTX Video Enhancement.

TLDR: NVIDIA introduces RTX Video HDR, a remarkable feature that uses Tensor Core technology to automatically upgrade SDR videos to HDR. It can also be combined with NVIDIA’s Video Super Resolution for improved video clarity. To enjoy this feature, you’ll need an RTX graphics card, an HDR10-compatible display, and the latest driver updates.
