After several days of silence, the TikTok saga in America takes another turn. Following President Donald Trump’s order to delay the enforcement of the TikTok ban, the app is now back in operation in the US. However, both the App Store and Play Store in the US have yet to make TikTok available for download. Apple and Google have not provided official explanations, but it is speculated that this is to prevent potential legal implications in the future.
In the absence of the app on regular channels, TikTok has advised US Android users to download the TikTok APK from TikTok.com/download. As for Apple users, they will have to wait as the US does not have a separate App Store like in the European Union.
TLDR: TikTok is back in action in the US, but Apple and Google are taking their time before making it available for download. Android users can still access the app via the APK provided on TikTok’s website.
