Open Source Code FSR 3.0 Unveiled by AMD: Innovating Software for Universal Graphics Cards

AMD has released the source code for FidelityFX Super Resolution 3, also known as FSR 3.0. This software is designed to increase frame rates by generating frames and can be used with graphics cards from any brand. It has been available for use since September.

The source code can be downloaded from AMD’s GPUOpen website, using the widely open MIT license. This is done in hopes that game developers and graphic communities will widely adopt and utilize it.

AMD has also updated FSR to version 3.0.3, adding support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) monitors. Additionally, they announced that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is the third game to support FSR 3, following Immortals of Aveum and Forspoken. They have also provided a list of upcoming games that will support FSR in the future, including highly anticipated titles such as Cyberpunk 2077, Starfield, and Like a Dragon. However, no specific release dates have been mentioned.
