OpenAI Internal Document Reveals Pricing Strategy for ChatGPT Plus Could Rise to $44/month by 2029

In the report on the projected financial performance of OpenAI, estimating this year’s revenue at 3.7 billion dollars, there is another intriguing piece of information regarding the plan to increase the price of the Subscription ChatGPT Plus service.

Currently, the ChatGPT Plus service is priced at 20 dollars per month. However, in order to boost revenue further, OpenAI may raise the price to 22 dollars by the end of this year, and if that’s not sufficient, by 2029, it could increase to as much as 44 dollars.

These figures may or may not materialize, as OpenAI is likely using them in revenue forecasting models. While TechCrunch’s survey data suggests that at the current price of 20 dollars, many users already feel it’s expensive.
