Optimize Content: YouTube’s Enhancements on Copyright Infringement Cases by Erasing Specific Song Tracks, Preserving Other Audio Elements

YouTube has announced an enhancement in the ability to remove music from videos for creators. In cases where a video is reported for copyright infringement, only the copyrighted audio can now be removed while the rest of the content remains intact, ensuring a higher quality overall. Previously, creators had options such as trimming out the segment, muting the audio entirely, replacing the song with another, or erasing the song completely through YouTube Studio tools. However, it was frequently reported that the audio quality after the song was removed was not great. YouTube has now improved the Erase Song feature by using AI to enhance the audio quality and removing only the copyrighted portions. If the song is not completely removed after using this feature, creators will need to consider other methods to delete it.

The updated version of the Erase Song feature will be rolled out on both desktop and smartphones in the coming weeks.

TLDR: YouTube has improved the ability to remove copyrighted music from videos, allowing creators to maintain the quality of their content. The updated Erase Song feature uses AI to enhance audio quality and remove only copyrighted portions.
