Google has unveiled a new feature for their Pixel smartphone lineup called Battery Health Assistance, which will debut on the Pixel 9a. This feature aims to extend the lifespan of the battery by limiting the maximum voltage during charging after 200 cycles, gradually decreasing with each subsequent charge up to 1,000 cycles.
According to Google, as the device is used over time, the charging duration for each cycle will gradually decrease. This feature will adjust the charging speed based on the decreasing battery capacity.
Users will not be able to customize this feature themselves.
