Palworld Creator Reveals Patent Details Allegedly Infringed by Nintendo, Seeks 10 Million Yen in Damages

Pocketpair, the company behind the Palworld game, has revealed details of the lawsuit filed by Nintendon and the Pokemon Company, alleging multiple patent infringements. The patents infringed according to Nintendon include three items with numbers 7545191, 7493117, 7528390, all related to gameplay mechanics such as throwing a ball to catch monsters, riding monsters for transportation, and combat systems in the game. Nintendon and the Pokemon Company are seeking damages of 5 million yen each for the infringement of these patents, totaling 10 million yen or approximately 2.2 million baht. Pocketpair has stated that they will proceed with the necessary legal steps in the upcoming court proceedings.
