Google Deepmind has released the Penzai library (an ancient Chinese term for tree trimming, derived from “Bonsai”) used to visualize artificial intelligence models and trim them. A key feature of Penzai is the Treescope visualization of AI models to show the appearance of each layer, allowing customization. Large AI models can be challenging to understand, but tools like Penzai help explore and adjust their operations. Penzai is designed to work with JAX for PyTorch and already includes self-displaying tree features.
