MacRumors reports that Apple may be preparing to discontinue the sale of Lightning to 3.5mm headphone adapter, which has been available since the release of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in 2016. The latest status indicates that the product is sold out in many countries, including the Apple Store Online in Thailand.
However, for those looking to purchase in Thailand, they can still find it offline or through other authorized online retailers. Apple initially included the Lightning to headphone adapter in the box with the iPhone 7, iPhone 8, and iPhone X, but stopped including it with the iPhone XS, opting to sell it separately for 390 baht. This allows users to still use wired headphones since newer iPhones have removed the headphone jack. At that time, Apple used the term “courage” to introduce the new technology and increase phone space.
Another reason that this adapter may be on its way out in the future is that Apple currently only sells three iPhone models with Lightning ports – iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, and iPhone SE, all of which may be discontinued within the next year. Additionally, Apple also sells a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone adapter to support current iPhone models at the same price of 390 baht.

TLDR: Apple may stop selling the Lightning to headphone adapter as newer iPhone models no longer have headphone jacks, and they may discontinue models with Lightning ports in the near future.
