Quark, Alibaba’s AI assistant app, has risen to become a popular AI assistant app in the Chinese app store. According to the latest figures in March 2025, reported by Aicpb, the monthly active users (MAUs) have increased by 150 million, surpassing long-standing leader Doubao, ByteDance’s AI app.
In March, Doubao had 100 million MAUs, while DeepSeek was in third place with 77 million accounts. Quark was originally a cloud storage and data search service app by Alibaba, but it has successfully rebranded itself as an AI assistant service in the past month.
