Nintendo has announced the sale of supplementary equipment, the Joy-Con charging dock for the Nintendo Switch, enabling the charging of game controllers even without the console itself. Previously, charging had to be done by connecting directly to the console.
While there have been third-party manufacturers producing charging docks for Joy-Con controllers for some time, Nintendo has just released their own version. This charging dock allows for the removal of the stand, providing added flexibility.
The Joy-Con charging dock is set to be available for purchase in Japan starting October 17, 2024, at a price of 3,300 yen (approximately 760 baht), supporting wireless charging for the Famicom controllers sold in Japan.
