PSN server experiences major crash lasting 24 hours, latest restoration now live.

PlayStation Network (PSN), the online gaming service, experienced a global outage for approximately 24 hours. Currently, it is back up and running smoothly. The cause of this outage remains undisclosed, with Sony only issuing an apology to customers via the Ask PlayStation JP account. This downtime had a significant impact on various online games that rely on PSN for login, such as EA Sports FC 25, Marvel Rivals, and Monster Hunter Wilds, which was in the midst of an Open Beta test.

According to gaming website PushSquare, this outage is considered the largest since the infamous PSN system breach in 2011, which resulted in months of service interruption.
