AIAS reports the fourth quarter results of 2019 and the performance of the year itself. An important highlight in the fourth quarter was the acquisition of TTTBB, a 3BB internet service provider, which resulted in additional revenue for 46 days.
Specifically for the fourth quarter of 2019, AIAS had a total revenue of 37,055 million baht, a 9.5% increase compared to the previous year. Excluding TTTBB, the growth was at 3.1%, with a net profit of 7,003 million baht. Factors affecting this include the operational losses of TTTBB, low asset reserves, financial costs from business integration, and the additional profit from the sale of investments in Rabbit LINE Pay. Overall in 2019, the total revenue amounted to 188,873 million baht, a 1.8% increase, with a net profit of 29,086 million baht.
The mobile phone business had a customer base of 44.6 million subscribers, with a growth of 170,000 subscribers from the third quarter of 2019. The average revenue per user (ARPU) increased to 223 baht per subscriber per month, and the number of 5G users reached 9.2 million subscribers.
For the home internet business, the number of customers reached 4.74 million, which saw a significant increase due to the inclusion of TTTBB’s customer base of 2.3 million subscribers.
TLDR: AIAS reported positive fourth quarter results with increased revenue from the acquisition of TTTBB. The mobile phone business saw growth in subscribers and ARPU, while the home internet business experienced a boost in customer numbers.
