Qualcomm’s CEO Reveals Collaboration with Samsung and Google in Developing XR Glasses

Cristiano Amon, the CEO of Qualcomm, revealed in an interview with CNBC that the company is collaborating with Samsung and Google to explore the development of Mixed Reality (XR) glasses connected to smartphones. These glasses will have a different format from Apple’s Apple Vision Pro Mixed Reality headset.

Last year, Google announced a partnership with Samsung to develop XR glasses, without mentioning Qualcomm. This interview marks the first official statement from Qualcomm regarding their involvement.

Amon’s current perspective is to encourage smartphone users to purchase these XR glasses as an additional accessory to enhance their overall user experience together. Google and Samsung have yet to comment on these developments.
