Quarterly Report: Reddit’s Total Revenue Grows by a Whopping 61%

Reddit reported its first quarter results for the year 2025, with total revenue increasing by 61% from the same period the year before to $392.4 million. Net profit stood at $26.2 million, and the number of Daily Active Users (DAUs) on the platform increased to 108.1 million accounts.

CEO Steve Huffman stated in the earnings call that more than 400 million accounts visit Reddit on average per week because when people seek genuine opinions, they must come to a space where real people exist.

Huffman provided further information that Google’s algorithm adjustments in February had an impact on Reddit’s traffic, but it bounced back. Such fluctuations might occur again in the future. As for the impact of AI-powered search services summarizing data, Reddit has developed a similar tool called Reddit Answers. However, he believes AI responses are one-dimensional, while community comments offer a much broader perspective.

In conclusion, Reddit’s financial performance has shown an impressive increase in revenue and user engagement, with potential challenges and opportunities arising from external factors like algorithm changes and AI-driven tools.

TLDR: Reddit’s Q1 2025 results revealed significant revenue growth, increased user activity, and potential challenges from external factors but also opportunities for innovation.
