Record-breaking Steam: Largest Synchronized Players Ready with 38.4 Million Users

Steam has once again set a new concurrent player record with a staggering 38,353,200 individuals on September 22nd, surpassing last month’s figure of 37.2 million.

The significant surge in player numbers last month was largely attributed to the popularity of Black Myth: Wukong. This month, the growth is more diversified, with standout additions being God of War Ragnarok and Final Fantasy 16, both exclusive to the PlayStation ecosystem.

Steam’s player statistics may face another upheaval in October as the highly anticipated release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is scheduled towards the end of the month.
