Bloomberg news agency reported that Arm had contacted Intel to discuss acquiring their Products Division, however, Intel promptly rejected the offer as they have no plans to sell this particular business segment.
Currently, Intel’s business structure, as per their financial reports, consists of three parts: Products (PC chips, data centers, AI, networking equipment), Intel Foundry (chip manufacturing facilities), and Others (separate subsidiaries where Intel holds majority stakes). Arm is solely interested in acquiring the Products segment and not the manufacturing facilities.
Both Arm and Intel have declined to comment on this news report.

TLDR: Arm approached Intel to purchase their Products Division, but Intel refused as they are not looking to sell this part of their business.
