The all-new Mac mini with the M4 chip has just been unveiled, and it comes in a much smaller size compared to its predecessor. As a result of this reduction in size, the power button had to find a new location, and the answer lies at the bottom of the machine.
In the previous model of the Mac mini, which had ample space around the machine, the power button was located at the back of the machine, next to various connection ports. However, even though the button is now situated under the machine, powering on the Mac mini M4 doesn’t require tilting the device up like some slim accessories, thanks to the design that doesn’t adhere to the entire surface, allowing users to easily reach in and press the button (watch the clip around the 28-second mark).

TLDR: The new Mac mini with the M4 chip features a smaller size and a relocated Power button at the bottom of the machine, allowing for easy access without the need to lift the device.
