Peter Russell-Clarke, a prominent executive in Apple’s product design department, has resigned from the company since October. He has been working at Apple for nearly 20 years and is known for his close collaboration with former head of product design, Jony Ive, on various product designs such as the iMac, iPod nano, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air.
This news has been confirmed by Vast, a space technology startup, who announced that Russell-Clarke will be joining them as an industrial design consultant, overseeing the overall design direction of the company.
Russell-Clarke is the latest high-level design executive to depart from Apple, following Jony Ive’s departure in 2019, and subsequent departures of Evans Hankey in 2022 and Tang Tan earlier this month.
