Resurfacing the Legend: Final Fantasy Tactics Undergoing Another Round of Remastering

Renowned Bloomberg gaming journalist Jason Schreier has confirmed rumors on Reddit that Square Enix is working on a remastered version of the game Final Fantasy Tactics. This adds to previous speculation that Square Enix is also remaking Final Fantasy IX, aligning with leaked information from the NVIDIA GeForce Now game database in 2021, which hinted at two Final Fantasy projects in development.

Final Fantasy Tactics, a tactical RPG first released on the PS1 in 1997, has seen tremendous success. The game was later updated as Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions for the PSP in 2007, and eventually ported to iOS/Android.
