Return of Apple’s Advertising on X After Protest Hiatus Since Late 2023

Apple has resumed advertising on X after stopping ads on this platform since November 2023, amidst a wave of protests from numerous major brands. The advertisements were shown next to controversial content on Nascei. The first Apple ad to reappear on X is for the Safari browser, highlighting privacy features. This ad campaign has also been extended to other social platforms. Meanwhile, Apple TV has advertised on X to promote the new season of Severance.

During that time, Elon Musk, the owner of X, responded to the major brands who had stopped advertising by saying “go fu*k yourself.” However, now these major brands are gradually returning to advertise on X.

TLDR: Apple resumes advertising on X after a hiatus, with a focus on privacy features, while major brands slowly follow suit.
