Capcom has revealed more details about Monster Hunter Wilds at the recent State of Play event, along with releasing a new gameplay trailer with fresh details.
The game world will experience dynamic weather changes
Monsters will evolve their behavior and actions based on the weather
The protagonist will be fully voiced and no longer silent
A new rideable creature called Seikret, resembling a mix of a chameleon and a bird, will transport players to specified locations on the map automatically
Players can store one backup weapon with Seikret, allowing for easy weapon switching during hunts
There are a total of 14 weapon types with no new weapon designs, but new unique move sets added
Focus Mode is a targeting system that helps players aim and attack monster weak points
Hook Slinger is a new slinger that can retrieve items from a distance
Encountering a large monster while out on expeditions allows players to immediately start that particular quest without having to return to the village
Players who have saved data from Monster Hunter World or Iceborne will receive special armor and weapons for their Palico (cat companion)
Four monsters have been revealed so far: Doshaguma, Chatacabra, Ceratonoth, and Dalthydon
Monster Hunter Wilds is being developed using the Re Engine, with a planned release in 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC
